Mike Cope Racing Heads to Atlanta for HSR Classic 10 Hour
Expands 2026 Schedule for HSR Events in Daytona, Sebring
Braselton, Ga. (September 16, 2026) — Mike Cope Racing is headed to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta this weekend for the HSR Classic 10 Hour, bringing the horsepower, preparation and winning mindset the team is known for to the Historic Sportscar Racing paddock.
The weekend marks an opportunity for Mike Cope Racing to showcase the versatility of the modern TA2-style platform in a different racing environment. The cars will compete in both the HSR Fall Historics Group 9/10 competition and Classic 10 Hour Group C, giving drivers multiple opportunities to get behind the wheel throughout the event.
For Mike Cope Racing, racing with HSR also brings the team back to something that has been at the heart of the organization since its beginning: creating opportunities for successful entrepreneurs, business professionals and passionate racers to compete at a high level while still enjoying the reason they started racing in the first place.

The HSR paddock brings together an extensive range of machinery and competitors, giving experienced racers and business professionals the opportunity to enjoy meaningful competition, substantial track time and the full professional race-team experience.
Mike Cope Racing will bring a strong lineup to Road Atlanta, including Jim Gallaugher in the No. 16 Regulator Ford Mustang, Keith Prociuk in the No. 9 HP Tuners Toyota Camry, and Travis Cope, who will take the wheel of the No. 26 HP Tuners Ford Mustang, filling in for Thomas Merrill, who had a prior commitment.
While the cars, horsepower and competitive expectations remain familiar, the focus in Atlanta is simple: race hard, enjoy the weekend and put the fun back into hobby racing.
“This is still racing,” Cope added. “We want to win every time we unload, and our preparation doesn’t change. But we also want our customers to get out of the car smiling and ready to do it again. That balance is important to us.”
Road Atlanta will also mark the beginning of an expanded HSR presence for Mike Cope Racing, as the team extends its 2026 racing season with additional HSR events at Daytona International Speedway in November and Sebring International Raceway in December.
Both events will provide additional opportunities for customer-owned arrive-and-drive programs as well as Mike Cope Racing rental-car programs, allowing drivers to continue racing later into the year.
